Dieting, repetition and restriction are not sustainable ways of living. Instead my philosophy centres around Naturopathic principles of nourishment, pleasure and excitement surrounding Nutrition.
Using quality ingredients in your cooking, eating tasty flavoursome foods and being mindful of what is going into your body are the real secrets to health. Cooking with nutritious tasty products is important to me, especially with 2 hungry toddler boys to feed.
With a particular interest in women’s health and nutrition for sport, particularly running, my MSc thesis researched nutritional supplement use in runners. I am a member of BANT (British Association of Nutritional Therapists) and a consultant to food and nutrition companies worldwide.
I enjoy attempting to simplify the science garble, giving it some everyday meaning for most of us, hopefully making it easily digestable, certainly health-promoting and possibly entertaining.
I’ve been studying Nutrition for 17 years, practicing for 13 years and working with corporations for 10 years. I am the expert Nutritionist for Hill Farm Oils, Spatone, Essex Gazette and have been quoted in and written for Health Food Business, Running 4 Women, Natural Products and Marketing Week. I’ve worked on food projects for M&S, Sainsbury’s and Ryvita as well as supplement projects for Boots, Tesco and Biocare amongst others.
